Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a motorcycle rally on Thursday from Vadnagar to Varanasi as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan, celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service. The event began in Vadnagar, Modi’s birthplace, coinciding with his 76th birthday.
The rally marks Modi’s political journey, which started when he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001. This motorcycle yatra is one of two parallel journeys, with the second rally commencing from Varanasi to Vadnagar, flagged off by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Both rallies are expected to conclude on October 7, the anniversary of Modi’s initial appointment as Chief Minister.
Approximately 300 bikers are taking part in each leg of the rally, traversing various states and villages along the way. The campaign aims to showcase Modi’s contributions to public life and engage younger generations with his political legacy.
Addressing the participants, Amit Shah emphasized the significance of Modi’s tenure and the efforts of the BJP and its National Democratic Alliance (NDA) allies to communicate the impact of his leadership to people across the nation.
