UAE’s Indian Embassy Launches Direct Appointments for Passport, Visa Services

Date:

The Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have streamlined their passport, visa, and attestation services with a new system that allows applicants to book appointments directly through an official online portal without incurring any booking fees. This initiative, launched by the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai, aims to enhance the efficiency of the application process while eliminating unauthorized service charges.

Under the new arrangement, consular services are now managed directly from the embassy and consulate offices, eliminating the need for intermediaries. Applicants are instructed to schedule their appointments solely through the designated online portal. By doing so, the missions intend to simplify the process and safeguard applicants from the risk of being overcharged by unauthorized agents claiming to offer appointment bookings or expedited services.

Officials have issued a clear warning against engaging with any individuals or organizations that claim to be officially authorized to provide these appointment services. The missions emphasize that only the online portal should be used for booking appointments, and any outside claims should be approached with skepticism. Those who suspect they have been misled or overcharged are urged to report these incidents through the official contact channels provided by the Embassy or Consulate.

Indian nationals residing in the UAE, along with travelers, are strongly encouraged to rely solely on verified platforms and official communications from the Indian missions to ensure they receive accurate information regarding consular services. This approach is designed to prevent fraud and avoid unnecessary fees, thereby providing a more secure and transparent service to all applicants.
